Scenario Overview:
This scenario is a relatively straightforward CPR scenario where drowning is suspected. The first aiders will be called to a patient who has just been dragged out the river by their mates. The patient will not be breathing and there will be no bystander CPR in progress on the first aiders arrival.

How the scenario should progress:
If the first aiders do everything well, you could get a return of breathing after one of the defib shocks if you wanted to or you can leave it as it is.
Patient 1:
Name: Melinda Buchanan    Age: 28    Sex: Female
Medication: None Known
Allergies: Penicillin (can be found out from friends)
Past medical/family/social history: Friends don't think the patient has any medical conditions.
Findings on examination: Not breathing. No injuries present on a top to toe. Patient is cold and wet after being in the water. The patient had been in the water about five minutes after accidentally falling in. The water is about 1.5m deep and the patient fell about a metre before hitting water. Pupils are not fixed or dilated.
Possible treatment from first aiders: Five initial rescue breaths and then the normal resus treatment. Request AED if one isn't with them. Oxygen/airays/suction if trained to use.

Tips for the patient actors:
You could start with a human actor and then switch to a cpr doll.
